Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Faresight account and its associated data at any time, instantly from inside the app, or by email if you no longer have access. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and the little that is kept.

Delete instantly in the app

The fastest way to remove your account and data is right inside Faresight:

  1. Open the Faresight app on your device.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm when prompted.
Deletion in the app is immediate and permanent. When you confirm, your account record, tracked routes, and device tokens are erased from our servers right away; there is no waiting period and the data cannot be recovered.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer open the app, email us to request deletion. Please send your message from the same email address associated with your account so we can verify the request.

We honour verified email deletion requests promptly, and in all cases within 30 days of receipt. We may reply to confirm your identity before processing.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes, from our servers:

  • Your account record, including your email, if you signed in and subscribed.
  • Your tracked routes & alert preferences, every flight route you follow and your price thresholds.
  • Your subscription / plan status, the free-or-paid record we hold for your account.
  • Your device push tokens, the tokens used to send price-drop notifications to your devices.
  • Your saved preferences, the app settings tied to your account.

What is retained

Consistent with our Privacy Policy, we retain your account data only while your account is active. After deletion, only a small amount of non-personal or legally-required data remains:

  • Anonymous, aggregated price history, market data about flight routes that is not linked to you and is kept to power the app for all users, including after your account is deleted.
  • Legally-required records, where required by tax or consumer-protection law (such as British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act), limited billing or subscription records may be retained for as long as the law requires, then deleted. Payments themselves are handled by Google Play as merchant of record.

Before you delete

A couple of things to know:

  • Deletion is permanent. Once your account is erased it cannot be restored. You would need to start fresh.
  • Cancel an active subscription separately. Deleting your Faresight account does not cancel a paid Google Play subscription. If you have a Pro plan, cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions to stop future charges.
